Who we are
Voleur is operated by Voleur Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17327156. Our registered office is Go Store Self Storage, Alan Alfred Avenue, Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom, ST4 3FL. We're not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to any price shown. You can reach us at hello@voleur.co.uk.
Our products
Voleur sells fragrances formulated to evoke the scent character of named designer releases. Every listing states plainly which designer fragrance it's inspired by. Voleur is an independent house and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the designer houses or brands referenced on this site. Brand names are used solely to describe fragrance type and character, as is standard and lawful practice for comparative "inspired by" fragrances.
Orders and payment
All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. on Stripe's own checkout page — we never receive or store your full card details. A contract between you and Voleur Ltd is formed once your payment is successfully confirmed, at which point you'll receive an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order (for example, in the case of a pricing error, stock issue, or suspected fraud) — if we do, you'll be refunded in full.
Delivery
We currently offer flat-rate UK delivery only, dispatched via Evri from Stoke-on-Trent. Delivery estimates are just that — estimates, not guaranteed delivery windows. Once your order ships, we'll email you a tracking number.
Your right to cancel
As a UK consumer buying online, you have a legal 14-day "cooling off" right to cancel your order for any reason. This right has one important limit for our products — see Returns & Refunds below for the full detail, since fragrance bottles are sealed for hygiene reasons.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If they aren't, you're entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund regardless of anything else stated on this page.
Liability
We aren't liable for losses that weren't a foreseeable result of us breaking this contract, or for any loss that wasn't caused by our fault. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't legally be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.

Who controls your data
Voleur Ltd (company number 17327156, registered office Go Store Self Storage, Alan Alfred Avenue, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 3FL) is the data controller for the personal data described below. Contact hello@voleur.co.uk for anything data-related.
What we actually store (and what we deliberately don't)
By deliberate design, Voleur's own systems store the absolute minimum: your order reference, which items you bought, the amounts, and the order status. We do not store your name, email address, or shipping address in our own database. That information is collected directly by Stripe on Stripe's own secure checkout page and held by Stripe as the payment processor — we only ever fetch it live, for a moment, when we genuinely need it (for example, to address your parcel or answer a support query), and it is never written back into our systems. This means a security issue on our end could never expose a stored address book of our customers, because no such record exists.
Stripe
Payment, and the name/email/address needed to fulfil your order, is handled by Stripe, Inc., under Stripe's own privacy policy. Stripe may process data outside the UK, under its own legal safeguards for doing so.
Website analytics
We use first-party, cookieless analytics to understand which pages and fragrances are popular, and to tell genuine visits apart from repeat testing on our own end. This records your IP address and browser type at the moment of your visit, along with which pages you looked at. No cookie is set for ordinary visitors as part of this, and this data isn't linked to any order or account — we don't combine it with your name, email, or anything you provide at checkout, since we don't hold that information either (see above).
Why we process your data
Order data: to perform our contract with you (processing, dispatching, and supporting your order). Basic site analytics: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the store, in a way that doesn't meaningfully affect your privacy.
How long we keep it
Order records (reference, items, amounts, status) are kept for as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes, generally up to 6 years, as UK businesses are required to do. We hold no name/email/address to delete, since we never store it in the first place — any request to Stripe regarding your personal data should be made to Stripe directly, or via us and we'll assist. Website analytics data (IP address, pages viewed) is kept for as long as it's useful to us operationally; email us if you'd like yours removed.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict our processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. Email hello@voleur.co.uk to exercise any of these. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you think we've mishandled your data.
Children
Voleur is not directed at children and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
Returns & Refunds
Last updated: 8 August 2026
The short version: Bottle still sealed? You can return it within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. Seal broken/bottle opened? It can't be returned — unless it arrived faulty, damaged, or wrong, in which case you're always covered and should just email us. You arrange and pay for return postage yourself, unless we sent you a faulty or wrong item.
Change of mind — unopened bottles
You have 14 days from the day your order is delivered to tell us you want to cancel, and a further 14 days after that to send the item back to us, for a full refund of the item price and the standard delivery cost. To be eligible, the bottle's seal must not have been broken. Email hello@voleur.co.uk with your order number to start a return. You're responsible for arranging and paying for return postage, and we'd recommend using a tracked service since we can't refund an item that gets lost on its way back to us.
Why opened bottles can't be returned
Fragrance bottles are sealed for hygiene reasons. Once that seal is broken, UK consumer law specifically allows us to exclude the standard 14-day change-of-mind right for exactly this reason — the same rule almost every perfume and cosmetics retailer relies on. This is why we're telling you clearly, here and before you buy: breaking the seal means you've given up your right to return the bottle simply because you changed your mind.
Faulty, damaged, or wrong items — always covered
None of the above applies if something's actually gone wrong: the bottle arrived damaged, faulty, or you received the wrong fragrance. In every one of these cases, contact hello@voleur.co.uk with your order number and a photo where relevant, and we'll sort a replacement or full refund at no cost to you — this is a right you have regardless of anything else on this page, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and it doesn't matter whether the seal has been broken.
How refunds are paid
Once we've received your return (or confirmed a fault), refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe within 14 days.
